The Einkorn wheat triticum monococcum is an ancient grain stemming back thousands of years. It is a very easily digestible grain even most people with a gluten sensitivity can eat! I bake all my food with Einkorn to provide extra nutrition and give it that warm homemade taste.
The health benefits of Einkorn are incomparable to modern-day wheat. It is loaded with protein, iron, dietary fiber, vitamin A, B vitamins, beta-carotene, and the antioxidant lutein. Einkorn has a very basic genetic makeup and it’s low levels of gluten make it easy to digest and provides you with a healthier alternative than the modern grains of today. It is not GMO’d or hybridized and it is grown the same way it was thousands of years ago!
